Getting to Know: Anna O

August 28, 2018

This summer we have welcomed some new staff members to our Grand Avenue Veterinary Center team, and over the next few months we’d like you to get to know them.

Our newest veterinary technician is Anna O (not to be confused with long time staff member Anna P!). Here are some icebreakers, in her own words:

What made you decide to become a veterinary technician?

I adopted my pit bull mix Allie while I was living in WI and began learning so much about what she needed and all the responsibilities involved in being a new dog mom. Soon I moved home to MN and to start a new career/educational program. I found vet tech, did all the research I could, then began as a student at Argosy. I’ll say I’ve loved the journey from day one!

Where did you go to school/what year did you graduate?

Argosy university twin cities 2018

Do you have an area of special interest in veterinary medicine?

Anesthesiology

Tell us about your pets.

I have a Pomeranian mix Charlie who is a fluffy crazy ball of love and a big pit bull mix Allie who is my laid back couch potato of a dog!

Tell us about your history with Grand Avenue Veterinary Center.

I interviewed in March hoping to do  my internship, fulfilled my internship this summer and began as full time technician this August! Short history but I love this place and people so much!

What was your favorite food when you were a child?

Mac N cheese with sliced hot dogs

What sound do you love?

Piano playing

What is your favorite indoor or outdoor activity?

Going on scenic bike rides

What is your favorite time of the day/day of the week/month of the year?

Sunset, Friday nights and October

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

Probably a lip smackers chapstick set

We have found Anna to be a friendly, fun, and hardworking coworker who really cares about our patients and clients. Say hi the next time you are in the clinic!
