ANIMAL WELLNESS EXAMS

Regular pet check-ups are the best way to head off problems before they become serious.

PUPPY AND KITTEN CARE

Exams, vaccinations, tests and counseling on pet behavior are essential to health and development.

GERIATRIC PET CARE

Dogs and cats face greater health issues as they age, just like people. We work to keep your pet healthy and active over the full span of their lives.

INTERNAL MEDICINE

We diagnose and treat a host of medical conditions including but not limited to cardiology, dermatology, oncology and endocrinology.

RADIOLOGY

Our digital x-ray capabilities provide convenient, on-site diagnostic support.

SURGERY

We perform spays, neuters, mass removals, and soft tissue surgeries. We utilize Minnesota Mobile Veterinary Surgery for orthopedics and complicated soft tissue surgeries.

DENTISTRY

Our dental suite allows us to provide advanced dental care in addition to basic oral health examinations and cleanings.

BEHAVIOR COUNSELING

We provide help with problems such as separation anxiety, excessive barking, chewing, inappropriate elimination and aggression.

LASER THERAPY

We provide laser therapy as a means of relieving pain, reducing inflammation and accelerating healing in both dogs and cats.

LABORATORY

We operate a full service in-house laboratory. In addition, we utilize respected outside laboratories for other tests.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Your pet's nutritional needs change at every life stage. We help you keep pace with these changing dietary needs.

VACCINATIONS

Vaccinations and other preventative and palliative care.

END OF LIFE CARE

When it is time to say goodbye, we can make it possible to do so with great care. Grand Avenue Veterinary Center offers euthanasia options in our clinic and in the comfort of your own home. Contact the clinic for more information, or visit our page dedicated to end of life care for your pet.

ACUPUNCTURE AND PAIN MANAGEMENT

We can work with you to develop a pain management program that works for you and your pet. Dr. Karen Christopherson, DVM CVA visits the clinic to perform acupuncture, while all of our doctors are familiar with safely using supplements and medications to alleviate both chronic and acute pain.

REFERRALS AND SPECIALISTS

We work closely with a number of specialists to give your pets the best care possible. Specialty areas include surgery, internal medicine, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology, behavior, physical rehabilitation and neurology. We routinely work with the Animal Emergency and Referral Center of Minnesota but we also refer to BluePearl, University of Minnesota and several others.
